When are you going to update Throwing a Stone in a River/The Company of Trees/If the Bird Doesn’t Sing?
My standard answer is I alternate between TSR and CoT, and I fit Bird and assorted ficlets/oneshots/challenges in between. Therefore, if my most recently updated WIP was CoT, I will update TSR next before I update CoT again, but I may fit in something else in between.
Therefore, my answer actually boils down to “when I feel like it and when I have the time.”
Have you abandoned/discontinued Throwing a Stone in a River/The Company of Trees/If the Bird Doesn’t Sing?
No, I have not. The long and short of it is I am a very busy person who is disabled in a variety of ways. I have no plans to abandon these fics, but if I do, I will make a public announcement to that effect. Please do not keep asking me if I have.
Is your ask box open for prompts?
My ask box is always open for prompts. The only caveat is that I do not write the prompts I receive in order, and I only do it when I feel like it and when I have time, so it might literally be months before I write anything for your prompt. I also reserve the right to reject a prompt for any reason.
Why would you reject a prompt?
Because I didn’t like it, I don’t write for the pairing requested, or because I already filled something similar for the pairing/characters/ and prompt requested.
What pairings don’t you write?
I do not write romantic and/or sexual pairings for the following pairings: NaruSaku, SNS, SasuKarin, and JirTsu. I will write these platonically.
What DO you write then?
Nearly anything else. I will, at minimum, give it a shot. If I find I don’t like it, I’ll try to fill the prompt anyway and then add the pairing/characters to my “do not write” list. I will write nearly any Sakura pairing, and I enjoy writing about the Warring Clans era characters, so prompts with those characters will likely get filled quicker than prompts that don’t involve them. However, like I said, I will take prompts with any character or pairing that isn’t under my “don’t write” list.
What kinds of prompts can we send?
All kinds – I don’t discriminate much, and if you want to send something nsfw, I’m hard to squick and I have no triggers. You’re free to send me a prompt based off of an ask meme I’ve reblogged (but only ones I’ve reblogged – otherwise I won’t know which one you’re talking about) but you have to make sure you tell me which meme it was. In fact, its best if you copy and paste the prompt itself into the ask, not just the number, or I’ll be confused and will either ask for clarification, delete it if its from an anon, or just write what I feel like.
You can also send me prompts that you’ve made up yourself, but if its too specific (like “well, first this happens, and then this happens, and then this, and this, and this”), then I will reject it. Allow me some creative freedom – I’m not here to pump out fics on demand.
Can I make podfic/fanart/fanfic/playlists/etc of your fics?
Yes PLEASE. I would *love* for someone to create content based on or inspired by my fics. All I ask is that you give me proper credit and send me a link when you’ve posted it. Consider this my blanket permission statement 🙂
